Clifton E. McCorvey
January 29, 1938 – August 22, 2025
It is with heartfelt remembrance that we honor the life and service of Clifton E. McCorvey, who peacefully departed this life on August 22, 2025 at the age of 87.
Clifton E. McCorvey proudly served his country with honor and dedication as a member of the United States Air Force. His commitment to duty and his unwavering patriotism exemplified the highest ideals of military service.
Throughout his distinguished career, Clifton earned commendations including two Military Merit Medals, Air Force NCO Professional Development Ribbon, WWII Presidential Unit Ribbon Bar, USAF Longevity Service Award, WWII United States Air Force Commendation Medal, WWII National Defense, President of Kiwanis International 2023-2024 and Certificate of Retirement Tsgt. (Honorable Discharge).
Clifton’s integrity selflessness and his service took to Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, Udorn Royal AFB, Thailand, Lakenheath AFB, England, Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico, Pease AFB, New Hampshire, Andrews AFB, Washington DC, Mountain Home AFB, Boise, ID, Castle AFB, Atwater, CA, where he demonstrated resilience and leadership in the face of challenges.
Beyond his military achievements, Clifton E. McCorvey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His legacy of courage and service will forever inspire those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna M. McCorvey; his brothers, Lewis McCorvey, S.T. Johnson, and Robert K. McCorvey; his mother, Hannah Jeanette Johnson; and his father, S.T. McCorvey; his stepfather, Ernest Johnson, also preceded him. Clifton is survived by his two children: his son, Michael A. McCorvey, and his daughter, Michelle M. Watkins (David L. Watkins). He leaves behind two grandchildren: Demetrius J. Watkins and Christon A. Watkins.
His legacy is further continued by his two great-grandchildren, Kira N. Watkins and Demetrius J. Watkins II. He also leaves behind his cherished pets: Suave, Rico, Sebee, Dash, Udi, Sparky, and Foxee.
Interment will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA, with fullnmilitary honors provided by Travis Air Force Base Honor Guard at a later date.
